To say the 2018 cross country season was a success for area girls teams would be an understatement.

To say the 2018 cross country season was a success for area girls teams would be an understatement. 

With the Marietta Lady Indians claiming their fifth state title in program history, and the Plainview Lady Indians claiming a state runner-up finish, there was plenty to be excited about this season.

Multiple area teams now have another reason to be excited about this year, as the 2018 All-Ardmoreite Cross Country girls team has now been made official.

Leading the way for the Marietta Lady Indians on the team is Kaelyn Dobbins, Mandy Sykora, and Vanessa Rodriquez.

Dobbins was the top finisher for the Lady Indians at the state meet with a fourth place finish, followed by Sykora in fifth and Rodriquez in ninth overall. 

Representing the Sulphur Lady Bulldogs will be Jaidyn Vallandingham, who was the top finisher for SHS at the state meet in 35th overall. 

Lauren Hendry will be carrying the torch for the Dickson Lady Comets, as she was the lone runner this season to qualify for the state meet on the squad.

Representing Davis High School will be Jacie Lanoy, while Cheyanne Davis will be representing the Lone Grove Lady Horns on the team. 

Representing the Plainview Lady Indians will be Faith Lloyd and Hadyn Hobbs. 

Both runners made the medal stand at the state meet, with Lloyd finishing ninth and earning All-State honors, while Hobbs finished in 15th overall. 

Representing the Madill Lady Wildcats will be Joslyn Stumblingbear. 

This season at the state meet, Stumblingbear made the medal stand with a 12th place overall finish. 

As a team the Madill Lady Wildcats finished fifth overall at state this year.
