The Jolly Trolley, a family event anyone can enjoy, has already sold out despite being a brand new event and long before the fist ride has ever been taken.
On December 3 through 6, Ardmore Parks and Recreation will be hosting the Jolly Trolley which will take guests on an evening journey from Central Park, across town and through the Festival of Lights.
The event will utilize the Ardmore Trolley and Tes Stewart, recreation supervisor, gave some details about what to expect.
“We’ll read a story on the way to the Festival of Lights,” Stewart said. “Then we’ll drive through the lights, go back to Central Park and pick up the next group.”
The Jolly Trolley will be running at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. all four nights and Stewart said they are asking people to meet at Central Park in front of the Christmas Tree about half an hour before their trolley is scheduled to take off.
“We’ll be there with hot chocolate and cookies so everyone will have something to do while they wait.”
Even though it is the first year for the event, Assistant Director Alicia Henry said the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
“A lot of people are bringing big groups,” Henry said. “The trolley only holds 20, so it helped to clear all of the available times.”
