Longtime Ardmoreite, Jo Ann Engelking, 83, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at a Norman assisted living center.  Jo Ann was born Oct. 15, 1935 at Winfield, Kan., to the late Wallace Russell and Floyce Nell (Jordan) Hutchison.  
Jo Ann and Charles Leon Engelking were married Mar. 1, 1958 in Denver, Colo. The parents of two children, daughter, Elaine and son, Earl, they had celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary this year.
A member of the Northwest Baptist Church, she and Charles had lived in Ardmore for fifty years before moving to Norman this past year to be closer to family.
Jo Ann had received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Oklahoma A & M (OSU), and her Master’s Degree from East Central University in Special Education. As a Psychometrist, she administered testing in schools throughout this area.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Engelking; her daughter Elaine Cullum and her son, Earl Engelking; grandchildren, Megan, Garrett and Tara; great-grandchildren, Mikaila, Damian, Mia, Malachi and Onyah. In addition to her parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Colvert.  
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at Northwest Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Becky Jackson. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park will follow with the assistance of  Harlen Seeliger, Ron Engelking, Raye Engelking, Jr., Garrett Cullum, Mike Cullum and John Olson serving as pallbearers.
