Unfortunately, the Longhorns couldn’t get their offense going, as they fell to 0-2 on the season with a 50-38 defeat on the road.

Lone Grove was held to just four points in the first quarter, while the Bulldogs scored 13 of their own.

The Longhorns were facing a 27-13 deficit going into the halftime break.

However, Lone Grove stormed back into the game with a 15-6 third quarter to be down 33-28 going into the fourth.

But, down the stretch the Bulldogs outscored Lone Grove 15-10.

Gavin Peery led the Longhorns with 13 points followed by Matthew Throneberry with 11 points.

Lone Grove will be in action Thursday at the Bethel Tournament taking on Bethany in the first round.

Kingston 69 Madill 31 

The Madill Wildcats had a rough night at the office Tuesday against the No. 1 Redskins from Kingston at Wildcat Fieldhouse.

Madill was held to just seven points in the first quarter, as Kingston raced out to a commanding 23-7 lead.

A 16-3 second quarter put Kingston in control going into the halftime break.

Kingston outscored the Wildcats 18-8 in the third quarter, before finishing the game off in the fourth.

Wyatt Gray led the Wildcats with nine points in the contest.

Madill (0-2) will be back in action Thursday night at 9 p.m. against Pilot Point, TX in the opening round of the Madill Winter Classic.

Comanche 70 Dickson 27 

Following two straight wins to start the season, the Dickson Comets had a rude awakening Tuesday night against the Comanche Indians.

Dickson fell to its lowest point total of the season as the Comets suffered a blowout defeat at home.

Comanche outscored Dickson 11-3 in the first quarter, before the Comets outscored the Indians 15-11 before halftime.

However, a 21-6 third quarter swung the momentum back in the favor of Comanche, as the Indians led 43-24 going into the fourth.

Dickson was outscored 29-3 in the fourth quarter.

Cason Dollar led the Comets with 12 points in the game.

Dickson will be back in action Thursday at 6 p.m. in the opening round of the Madill Winter Classic against Liberty Christian. 

Springer 59 Bray-Doyle 52 

Following only their second loss of the season last Friday night, the Springer Cardinals got back to winning ways at Walker Gymnasium Tuesday night.

Springer managed to earn a seven-point victory over the Bray-Doyle Donkeys to move to 5-2 on the season.

The Cardinals outscored the Donkeys 14-11 in the first quarter, before going on a 15-8 run to end the first half.

Despite being outscored 33-30 in the second half, the Cardinals had done more than enough to claim the victory.

Mickey Hunnicutt led the Cardinals with 32 points in the game, followed by Malik Brown with 13 points. 

Springer is back in action on Dec. 11 at Mill Creek. 

In other action Tuesday, the Davis Wolves fell to 0-2 on the season with a 59-46 defeat against Wayne on the road.
