Police haven’t filed any charges following an incident Sunday, when one person was allegedly assaulted before allegedly firing a gun at the assaulter’s car.
Ardmore Police Capt.  Keith Ingle said the incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Sunday at a gas station in the 1100 block of South Commerce Street. Ingle said neither person’s name has been released, as no charges can be filed.
“Neither one of them want to cooperate or tell us what happened,” Ingle said.
According to Ingle, Person A allegedly followed Person B to the gas station before assaulting him. When Person A left, Person B allegedly shot at the retreating car several times. No one was struck by gunfire. Ingle said without victim cooperation the police are unable to investigate further.
The case has been sent to the District Attorney’s office for consideration. Ingle said the alleged shooter could potentially be charged with reckless handling of a firearm.
“There’s a whole lot about this story we haven’t been told,” Ingle said.
