With temperatures hovering just above freezing Friday night, the Davis basketball teams looked to catch fire at home against Wynnewood.

Unfortunately, it was a split decision on the night as the Lady Wolves claimed their second victory of the season, while the Wolves suffered their third straight loss of the season.

It was a low scoring game for the Lady Wolves as they managed to win 32-26 over Wynnewood.

Davis scored just 15 points in the first half, but managed to put them game away with 17 in the second half.

Jolee Grinstead and Jordan Brown led the Lady Wolves with nine points each in the game.

The Wolves struggled to find their groove offensively as they slumped to a 57-51 defeat, moving them to 0-3 on the season.

In the first quarter the Wolves managed just two points, before scoring 11 in the second quarter.

Davis’ offense came alive in the third quarter with 20 points followed by 16 in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough to claim the victory.

Oren Bishop led the Wolves with 16 points followed by Cole Martin with 12 points and Jett Martin with 11 points. 

Davis will be back in action Tuesday night on the road against Sulphur beginning at 6:30 p.m.
