Ardmore native Theodore Harrison “Ted” Gill, 71, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2018 in a local nursing facility following a lengthy illness.  
The son of the late Ben Tom and Helen Louise (West) Gill, Ted was born Mar. 11, 1947 here in Ardmore. He was a graduate of Ardmore High School Class of 1965.
Ted and the former Carolyn Ann Stidham were married Aug. 28, 1968 here in Ardmore and were the parents of two sons, Robert Michael and Teddy Jr. After nearing forty years of marriage, Carolyn preceded him in death June 26, 2008. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ben Tom Jr., and George, also his sister, Louise.
Ted worked for the Coca Cola company for 20 years before he and his wife bought the Miller Dairy Freeze, which they successfully operated for many years.  
Survivors include his sons, Michael Gill and his wife Kim, Teddy Gill Jr. and Lori Bradley, grandchildren, Dustin Jay and Chad Michael Gill, Chris and Chelsie Ashton, and Brandon Sears; great-grandchildren Weston, Bryson, Rhett and Elaina; brothers, Charles, John, Jeff and Jim Gill, and sisters, Mary Baber, Glenda Walker and Ann Gretchell.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Bruce Kirby. Burial will follow in Lone Cedar Cemetery.
A time of visitation and support for the family and friends will be held from 6 till 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
