Following one of the most historic seasons since 1992, the Ardmore Tigers football team was given more reasons to celebrate this week.

Following one of the most historic seasons since 1992, the Ardmore Tigers football team was given more reasons to celebrate this week.

The annual District 5A-1 All-District awards list was officially announced, with several Tigers being named to the first-team list, as well as earning individual honors. 

Ardmore quarterback Tero Roberts was named as the Player of the Year, with teammates Sitani Lemeki being named as the Defensive Lineman of the Year.

Trenzel Johnson and Brayden Bryant were named as the Co-Offensive Linemen of the Year. 

Also earning an individual award was Tigers kicker Rafael Interiano, who was named as the Special Teams Player of the Year.

Jermaine Scallion was named as a member of the First Team defense at the end position, while Chris Lewis also earned First Team defensive honors at the linebacker position.

Nathan Taylor and Michael Bruner were each named as First Team defense selections at Secondary, while Bobby Joy was named as an Honorable Mention selection at the defensive tackle slot. 

First Team offensive honors went to Mylic Ritche at the receiver/tight end position, while Trenzel Johnson and Ethan Phillips each earned First Team offense at offensive line.

Eean Ross, Cameron Petties, and Jadrein Monroe were all named as first team selections on offense at the running back position.

Adrian Tafolla was named as an Honorable Mention selection on the offensive line.

Ardmore went 13-1 this season, finishing as the Class 5A state runner-up, as the Tigers made their first appearance in the state finals since 1992.
