Wanda June Wells entered this world on Jan. 8, 1931, the only daughter of Hannah (Heintz) Jantz and Herman Jantz, Sr. Wanda departed this life on Dec. 15, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Raised in Clinton, Okla., Wanda graduated from Clinton High School in the Class of 1949. She was very proud of her record of perfect attendance. She then attended Business College and occasionally worked as a bookkeeper during tax season.
She and Willis Leroy Wells were married May 9, 1954. Wanda traveled the world by his side as he served our country in the U. S. Air Force. During these times she saw many amazing lands and visited forty-nine of the fifty states, only missing Alaska.
A homemaker, Wanda delighted in taking care of her family, whom she loved with all of her heart. Wanda was a believer in Christ, and has now joined him in eternity.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willis, three brothers, Herman, Jr., Donald, and Kenneth Jantz. She is survived by her daughters, Wadonna Wells and Wanetta (Wells) Thompson, both of Ardmore; her grandchildren, Tara (Mason) Harris and her husband, Daniel Harris of Tulsa; Keely Thompson of Mesa, Ariz.; Brendan Thompson of the home; her great-grandsons, Devan and Archer Harris and a special niece, Becky McQueen.
The family has selected private services that have been entrusted to Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Cross Timbers Hospice in Wanda’s name.
