Ardmore police officer Parker Green found more than he was looking for Tuesday after conducting a routine traffic stop on a subject believed to be operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
According to APD Capt. Keith Ingle, Green spotted the man, Cody Armstrong, 28, of Ardmore, operating a vehicle in the 800 block of N. Washington. Parker was able to verify the suspension through dispatch before making the stop.
“He found about 10.2 grams of meth and about 4.8 grams of marijuana,” Ingle said. “Since the drugs were packaged for sale, he got intent to distribute.”
Under state law, drug possessions under 20 grams are filed as misdemeanors, while charges of intent to distribute remain felonies.
