The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has reported a multiple fatality collision early Thursday morning on Interstate 35 northbound four miles south of Davis.
A collision took place at approximately 1:10 a.m. involving a 2012 Mitsubishi Galant and a 2015 Kenworth tractor-trailer.
While the cause of the incident is still under investigation, OHP has released some details, including the identities of those involved. Road conditions at the time of the incident were wet as it was raining.
The driver of the involved semi, Jimmie Roach, 58, of Fort Worth was not injured. The other vehicle carried four passengers according to the Troopers’ reports. The driver of that automobile, Zacchaeus Hodges, 24, Irving, was not injured. Two passengers were transferred to medical facilities. Bryce Gusman, 20, of Fort Worth was transported by Murray County EMS to
Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur, then transferred to OU Medical Center in serious condition with facial injuries. Charles Sulton, 21, of Fort Worth, was transported by Southern Oklahoma Ambulance Services to Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, then transferred to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas in critical condition with a head injury.
One passenger, Daniel Ellison, 24, of Burleson, Texas, was transported by SOAS to Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, then transferred to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Ellison was pronounced dead at the hospital due to his injuries.
A fourth passenger, Erica Womack, 18, of Fort Worth, was pronounced dead at the scene by Medical Examiner John Miller.
