Christopher Allen Castellow died quietly and peacefully in Carrollton, Texas, in the early morning hours on Jan. 12, 2019 at Baylor Scott & White VITAS Hospice Care at the age of 48. His passing comes after a long, faithful and valiant four-year fight against cancer.
Chris is survived by his wife, Niki Dan Castellow, and their three children, Tessa Ann Castellow, Kaylee Dawn Castellow, and Michael Jay Castellow, all of Little Elm, Texas. He is additionally survived by his mother, Patricia Ann Castellow, his brother, Gregory Michael Castellow and wife Andrea Castellow of Ardmore, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Allen Castellow of Ardmore.
Chris was born on Jan. 7, 1971 in Ardmore to Mike and Pat Castellow. He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1989. During college at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond he met his lifelong love and partner, Niki Castellow of Balko, Okla., and they married on June 29, 1996 in Oklahoma City. The couple remained in Oklahoma City where Chris ultimately began his career in Mortgage Lending. In 2001, the family moved to Plano, Texas and Chris continued his career in mortgage lending, working for a variety of companies over the years.
The couple’s three children all began their education in Little Elm schools. Two of the children have graduated and begun pursuing their own directions in life, while the youngest is still in school. Chris was incredibly generous of his time and dedicated every possible moment to his children’s activities, spending time with Niki, and returning to Ardmore to spend time with his parents and brother. He always pushed his children to follow their dreams and do their very best – no matter what they did.
Chris was a loving, generous, and proud man who loved his family and was passionate about ensuring the people around him were always having fun – no matter what. He was an active and dedicated member of The Crossing Church of Frisco, Texas and volunteered at every opportunity.
A funeral is scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 at The Crossing Church, 8989 FM 423 Frisco, TX 75034. A viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019 at Stonebriar Funeral home, 10375 Preston Rd, Frisco, TX 75033. Rev Zach Miller will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Chris’s life. Friends and family are welcome to gather together following these arrangements at any local establishment to honor and celebrate Chris’s life well lived.
