After winning the consolation prize during the Purcell tournament, the Plainview Lady Indians continued their winning ways Tuesday night.

After winning the consolation prize during the Purcell tournament, the Plainview Lady Indians continued their winning ways Tuesday night. 

Defense was the theme as Plainview defeated Tishomingo 47-18 at Tishomingo. Plainview took an early 23-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. 

Tishomingo was held to just eight points in the first half, and did not score double digits in a quarter the entire game. Peyton Jones led all scorers with nine points


Sulphur 72

Madill 33

Following their first loss of the season on Saturday, the Sulphur Lady Bulldogs bounced back in a big way Tuesday night. Hosting the Madill Lady Wildcats, the Lady Bulldogs used a mix of solid defense and a dominate 27-point performance by Payton Row to take the 72-33 victory. The Lady Bulldogs jumped out early with a 27-8 lead after the first, and continued to slow the Lady Wildcats offensively throughout the first half before taking a 40-14 lead at halftime. The Lady Wildcats simply had no answer for Row, and could not overcome the huge deficit.


Comanche 64

Marietta 38

A slow start for the Marietta Lady Indians was too much to overcome on Tuesday, as they fell on the road 64-38 against Comanche. The game was close in the first half, as the Marietta trailed just 27-15, but a monster 24-point third quarter by Comanche put the game out of reach. Marietta had no answers defensively for Comanche’s Brooklin Bain, who scored 10 of her game high 20 in the quarter. Nine turnovers in the second half was too much for Marietta to overcome.


Fox 52

Thackerville 32

After what looked to be a game going down to the wire, the Fox Lady Foxes used a big fourth quarter to take home the 52-32 victory over Thackerville. The Foxes lead throughout the game, and took a 18-15 lead at half time. After the two teams went back and fourth in the third, the Lady Foxes entered the final quarter with a 29-23 lead. The Lady Foxes almost matched their point total for the entire game in the fourth, when they scored 

25 points in the quarter. Led by the games leading scorer Bree Phillips with 19 points, the Lady Foxes defended their home court with the 52-32 victory.


Davis 43

Wynnewood 31

After trailing early in the game, The Davis Lady Wolves were able to make a comeback and defeat the Wynnewood Lady Savages on the road 43-31. The Lady Wolves trailed 15-13 heading into halftime, but used a big third quarter to swing momentum in their favor. Led by the games leading score Jolee Grinstead, with  14 points, the Lady Wolves scored 14 in the third and 16 in the fourth to take home a huge victory on the road.


Turner 41

Temple 33

The Turner Lady Falcons used a balanced attack Tuesday night to defend their home court against Temple. The Lady Cardinals jumped out to an early 19-13 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. The Lady Tigers were held to just 17 points in the first half, and could not slow down the Lady Cardinals in the second half. The Lady Cardinals had six players make the score sheet Tuesday, with four scoring at least five points. The  Lady Tigers Celeste Robles led all scorers in the game with 17.


Healdton 44

Wilson 33

After hosting the Bulldog bash this past weekend, the Healdton Lady Bulldogs hit the road to face the Wilson Lady Eagles. the Lady Bulldogs dominated defensively in the first quarter, holding the Lady Eagles to just one free throw in the quarter, taking the early 14-1 lead. The Lady Eagles bounced back in the second, holding the Lady Bulldogs to just five points for the quarter while scoring 15. Although the Lady Eagles kept things close in the second half, they had no answer for Toree Wingo, who had a game high 20 points, as the Lady Bulldogs took home the 44-33 victory.
