A white pickup truck crashed through the front window of McAlister's Deli early Wed. morning, delaying the scheduled Friday opening of the restaurant.
According to Ardmore Police Capt. Keith Ingle, a 20-year-old Ardmore woman was allegedly under the influence of drugs or alcohol when she lost control of the vehicle and ended up inside the storefront of the McAlister’s Deli building located at the Ardmore Commons shopping center around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. The woman was taken into police custody.
McAlister's Deli (Ardmore) said in a statement on social media, "Our restaurant was involved in a vehicle accident overnight. A car drove through the front of the restaurant. Thankfully, there are no injuries. We're still eager to serve this community and will post updates here as soon as possible. However, for the moment, Grand Opening events will be delayed or rescheduled. We're grateful for your support Ardmore!"

No injuries were reported.
