The best from the Eastern and Western portion of Oklahoma football was announced Monday, with area schools representing the best of their respective divisions.

Each class ranking had an offensive and defensive team voted on by the Oklahoma Coaches Association from across the state.

Southern Oklahoma will be well represented in the accolades, with several area schools receiving multiple nominations by the coaches.

In Class A, Ringling had three nominations to the defensive squad with defensive backs Travis Wade, Scotty Paul and defensive lineman Caleb Stewart all receiving nominations. The Blue Devils had the mot nominations from one school in class A.

Class 2A had representatives from Dickson and Davis High Schools. On the defensive side of the ball, defensive lineman Jared Brown and linebackers George Thomas and Jace Idleman represented the Wolves. For the Comets, defensive lineman Jadley Cox was the only defensive representative.

Offensively, running back Brandon Sullivan and offensive lineman Joesph Bodkins represented the Comets as well.

3A was tied with 2A for the most area representation. 3A state runner-up Sulphur had three nominations, all on defense. Defensive lineman Jonathon Cazares and linebackers Trey Kiser and Mason Lance represented the Bulldogs. For Plainview, defensive lineman Connor O’Neal and defensive back Britton Sperry represented the defense. The lone 3A player on offense was Indians tight end Lane Ross.

The only local school in 5A was the state runner-up Ardmore Tigers.  Tigers defensive linemen Sitani Lemeki and defensive back Tero Roberts represented the defense while the lone offensive representative was offensive linemen Brayden Bryant.

Both Bryant and Lemeki will represent the West in the 80th annual East versus West All-State game, and will be coached by the Tigers offensive line coach Mark Linney in the game.
