For the Dickson Lady Comets, the past week has been a roller coaster ride.

After losing in the district finals, the Lady Comets reeled off three consecutive victories to earn the regional consolation championship, and a place in the area tournament.

Unfortunately, the road came to an end Thursday night in Ada.

The No. 15 Marlow Lady Outlaws proved to be a thorn in the side of the Lady Comets for the second time this season, as Dickson was eliminated in the area consolation quarterfinals by a score of 59-34 at the Cougar Activity Center.

Dickson managed to stay close at the end of the first quarter, as Marlow led 12-10.

However, the Lady Outlaws went on a 14-8 run to end the first half, giving them a favorable
advantage going to the locker room.

The Lady Comets managed to fight back with 13 points in the third, but Marlow scored 15 of its own.

Down the stretch, the Lady Outlaws finished the game off with a 14-3 run in the fourth.

Audrey Young led the Lady Comets in scoring with 11 points followed by Keely King with six points, with Landri McClure and Hailey Davis each with five points.
