Friday night the Lady Tigers again showed their mettle as one of the teams to beat in Class 5A, as they rolled to a convincing victory on the road against No. 11 Lawton MacArthur by a score of 61-36, bringing them to 18-1 on the season.

Ardmore came out strong from the opening tip as the Lady Tigers led 16-7 following the end of the first quarter. 

A 12-10 second quarter run by the Lady Tigers kept them in front going to the break by a score of 28-17.

Lawton MacArthur though responded in the third, outscoring Ardmore 13-12, but the Lady Tigers still managed to hold a 40-30 advantage.

The Lady Tigers quickly snuffed out any chance of a Lady Highlanders rally in the fourth quarter as Ardmore went on a 21-6 run to end the game. 

Sierra Gordon torched the Lady Highlanders for 27 points in the game, including hitting six three-point shots in the contest. 

Tieronay Banks added 11 points in the game, with Shakira Smith scoring seven points.

Amaya Gordon and Reagan McCurley both put in six points with Miyah McGee scoring four points. 

In the boys game, it was a rough contest for the Tigers as they were defeated by the No. 8 Highlanders 102-60.

No statistical information was available from this game as of press time.

Ardmore is off until Friday Feb. 8 when the Lady Tigers will travel to McAlester.

The Lady Tigers will then play their final two regular season games on Feb. 12 and Feb. 15 against Carl Albert and Lawton MacArthur at home.
