Mannsville — Graveside services for Gary Paul Mays will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at the Mannsville Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Mays officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.

Gary was born Feb. 15, 1959, in Madill, to Earnest Mays and Hattie Bell (Arledge) Mays. He passed from this life on Feb. 2, 2019, in Ardmore, at the age of 59. Gary graduated from Dickson High School in 1977. He and Rhonda Higgins were married in Cooke County on June 15, 1984. Gary enjoyed fishing, rooster fights, forging metal and spending time with his family and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Hattie Bell; sister-in-laws, Wanda Mays, Brenda Mays, Bobbie Mays and Rachel Mays; brothers, Junior Mays, Kenneth Mays, Arthur Mays, Dean Mays, Doug Mays, Darrell Mays, Tommy Mays, Donnie Mays and Roger Mays; sisters, Mary Sue Barnes and Muriel Jean Mays. 

Gary is survived by his wife, Rhonda of the home; daughter, Amanda Herell and fiancé, Joka Fowler, of Mannsville; brother, Lonnie Dale Mays of Ardmore; sister, Nelda Ann Rich of Ringling; grandchildren, Jaxel Dean Herell and Jillian Mae Rogers, both of Mannsville; brother-in-law, Richard Higgins and wife Elaine, of Kingston; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends Jack White, David Roberts, Allen Price and Billy McGlocklin; and numerous sister-in-laws, other relatives and friends. 

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Mays, Johnny Mays, Joshua Mays, Lee Mays, Lonnie Mays and Shawn Barnes.
