While there might be three games left in the regular season, the Ardmore basketball teams learned where their postseason journeys will begin on Thursday.

The Class 5A West brackets were released by the OSSAA, with Ardmore’s boys and girls basketball teams being separated when it comes to regional locations.

Ardmore’s Lady Tigers will be at home for the regional tournament beginning on Feb. 21, with Capitol Hill, Carl Albert and Noble making the trip to Ardmore Gymnasium.

The No. 1 Lady Tigers will take on Capitol Hill in the late game of the opening session at 8 p.m., with the winner earning a berth in the area tournament as well as a date with either Carl Albert or Noble on Saturday Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. for the regional championship.

Should Ardmore advance to the area tournament, they could face either El Reno, Del City, Western Heights or Lawton MacArthur for the right to go to the state tournament.

Meanwhile, the Ardmore Tigers will be hitting the road to Lawton MacArthur along with Ada and Altus for their regional tournament.

Ardmore will take on Ada in the opening round of the regional tournament on Friday Feb. 22 at 6:30 p.m. with the winner playing at 7 p.m. the following night.

Should the Tigers advance to the area tournament, they would face either Del City, Capitol Hill, Duncan or Noble for the right to go to the state tournament.
