After enduring a physical game against Sulphur Friday night, the No. 19 Plainview Indians decided to make things easy on themselves Saturday against Lone Grove.

Plainview led wire-to-wire as the Indians won their 15th game of the season with a comfortable 79-47 victory over the Longhorns at the Plainview Activity Center.

The Indians jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the first quarter before the Longhorns got on the board at 5-1.

Lone Grove managed to get to within nine points at 17-8 with 2:18 left in the first quarter, before Plainview ended the frame on a 5-2 run to lead 22-10 going to the second.

Offense was at a premium for both teams to close out the first half as the Indians outscored the Longhorns 24-14 to lead 46-24 going to the break.

However, this wasn’t the case for the Longhorns in the third quarter as they were held to just seven points, while Plainview scored 15 of its own to lead 61-33 going to the fourth.
