Charles Randell “Chuck” Clark was born Jan. 9, 1984, in Ardmore, to Brenda R. Cheek Clark and James Michael “Mike” Clark. Chuck lost his brief battle with cancer on March 3, 2019, passing away at his home in Lone Grove, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 35 years, 1 month and 24 days.
Chuck attended Ardmore Schools and participated in football, baseball and wrestling. As a young adult he worked for Carrell Trucking as a mechanic and was most recently fleet manager of Jag Fuels in Lone Grove.
Chuck loved his family and especially being dad to his boys, Robert and Randell. They were the pride and joy of his life. Chuck’s legacy of a kind spirit, his passion for sports and zest for life will live on through them. He enjoyed watching his boys play sports and loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting or barbecuing; also racing, either drag or NASCAR, it didn’t matter. Chuck was a loving son, brother and uncle.  
Survivors include his sons Robert Franklin Clark and Randell Lee Clark; his mother Brenda R. Clark, sister Candice Clark and his brother James “Woody” Clark; Also surviving is his grandfather Charles Williams; the boys grandparents John and Gina Miller, their aunt and uncle Adam and Makenzie Miller, as well as other extended family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father James Michael “Mike” Clark, maternal grandmother Verna L. Williams and paternal grandmother Ola Catherine Rhodes.
The family would like to give special thanks and recognition to cousins Lauren Brown, Shayne Clark and Clara Covington, who spent countless hours with him in his last weeks.
Funeral services for Chuck will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend David Brantley officiating. Burial will be in the McAlister Cemetery at Overbrook with the assistance of Robert Puckett, John Lindsey, Jr., Chris Miguel, Jeremy Sutterfield, Jason Schrieber, Cody Wilson, Jeremy Resendez and Jeremy Clay Cheek serving as pallbearers. Honorary bearers include his uncles Hal Cheek, and Clay Gardner, Ryan Clark, Adam Miller and John Miller, Jr.
A time of visitation and support for the family and friends will be from 6 till 8 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
