Marietta — Services celebrating the life of Roxie Roberts are 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta. Pastor Jerry Turner, of the All Faith Christian Church will be officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Service. 

Roxie, the daughter of Jesse James and Ina Mae Fagan, was born during the sweet July summer of 1933 in Paoli, Okla., and passed away on April 1, 2019, in Portland, Ore. 

Roxie’s world revolved around family, country western tunes and soaking up sunshine. Her other loves include mowing lawns to a crisp perfection, and cooking up the best peanut butter French toast the world has ever tasted. 

Roxie married W.E. (Bill) Roberts April 16, 1950, in Canute, Okla. They moved to Marietta from California in 1969 where they operated Roberts Grocery together for 25 years. Roxie lived in Marietta from 1969-2014, until she moved to Lake Oswego, Ore. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five siblings, Nona, Clifford, Freda, Bud and Dearl.

Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Maryellen Roberts of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Terry and Becky Roberts of Lake Oswego, Ore.; six grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Todd, Taylor, Terry Lynn, and Erica; four great-grandchildren, Savannah Lynn, Levi, Madison and Alexxia Kay; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Jason Roberts, Todd Roberts, Taylor Roberts and Terry Lynn Roberts. 

The family has requested that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America in lieu of flowers.
