While the weather might have been a mixture of hot and cold Thursday, there was no such confusion for the Plainview Indians golf team at Lake Murray Golf Course.

The Indians managed to finish second overall at the Longhorn Invitational with the Madill Wildcats “A” team claiming the overall title.

Britton Goss led the way for the Wildcats, who finished with a team score of 375. Goss finished with a 92, which brought him second overall in the individual standings. 

Jacob Massey was fourth overall with a 93, with Casey Jones in sixth at 94. 

Eziekal Fuentes carded a 96, which brought him ninth overall, with Ian Zang rounding out the team scores with a 110. 

The Indians finished with a 397, led by individual champion Nick Owen with an 88.

Sam Morgan carded a 95 which brought him seventh overall, with Carson Allen in eighth at 96, while Luke Christensen at 118, and Ethan Lambe at 130. 

The Madill “B” team finished with a 429 team score, led by Gavin Anderson with a 98, followed by Braylean Bridenstine at 103, Asa Robertson at 111, and Riggin Melton at 117. 

Lone Grove totaled a 445 for the tournament, with Landon Howell the top finisher at 101. 

Tyler Eaves finished with a 102, with Evan Copeland at 117, Conner Corbell at 125, and Logan Tucker at 128.
