Facing a lengthy road trip to Bray-Doyle, along with three other teams in their district tournament, the Turner Lady Falcons rolled the dice on Thursday as they tried to advance to regionals.

Facing a lengthy road trip to Bray-Doyle, along with three other teams in their district tournament, the Turner Lady Falcons rolled the dice on Thursday as they tried to advance to regionals.

Unfortunately, the Lady Falcons were stopped short of running the gauntlet, as they were eliminated by No. 12 Whitesboro on a walk-off in the championship series.

Turner began the day by crushing the host Lady Donkeys 13-1 in five innings, as they scored nine runs in the third inning to take control. 

Jaleigh Durst finished the game with four RBI’s including a home run, while Ryleigh Parker also had a home run to go with two RBI’s.

Tallie Tynes and Kodi Durst also had a pair of RBI’s in the game.

Turner was handed its first loss of the day against Whitesboro in the winners bracket by a score of 10-0 in five innings. 

However, the Lady Falcons rebounded as they won against Thackerville to eliminate the Lady Wildcats by a score of 15-5 in six innings. 

Turner scored four runs in the third, fourth and sixth innings to seal the victory. 

Tallie Tynes and Karlee Russell each finished the game with three RBI’s apiece, while Durst, Ryanne Richardson, and Hillary Hill each had two RBI’s.

Parker and Russell each had home runs against Thackerville in the game. 

The Lady Falcons season came to an end against Whitesboro 10-9, with WHS getting the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. 

Turner led 7-0 going to the bottom of the fourth, before leading 9-5 going to the bottom of the fifth. 

Durst finished with three RBI’s in the game with Parker and Hill finishing with two RBI’s apiece.

Durst and Hill each had home runs in the game against Whitesboro.
