While the Davis Wolves might have been eliminated from the Regional Tournament over the weekend, they didn’t go down without a fight.

No. 16 Davis managed to keep its season alive at Stone-Black Field in Marlow with a convincing 6-1 victory against Comanche in an elimination game, and then gave the host No. 2 Outlaws a scare before falling 6-2 in the regional finals.

Davis took the lead against the Outlaws in the top of the first inning when Cole Martin scored on an error, before Marlow tied the game in the bottom of the first.

Colin Dulaney then got a fielder’s choice RBI in the top of the second to make it a 2-1 Wolves lead.

But Marlow left it late and scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to steal the victory, ending Davis’ season at 19-11 overall.

Cole Martin took the loss on the mound for the Wolves, throwing six innings. He allowed six earned runs on nine hits with two walks and two strikeouts.
