With 2019 marking the 41st year of the programs existence, the Ardmore Tigerettes Pom Squad decided to start it off with a bang earlier this summer.

At the annual Universal Dance Association camp on the campus of the University of Oklahoma in Norman, the Tigerettes, and their new head coach Emily Orr walked away with plenty of honors.

Ardmore Pom managed to qualify for nationals, as well as obtaining the full out award and the 2019 superior award.

In addition to the team awards, senior captains Jade Russell and Jentry Lemons were both named All-American selections, and invited to be apart of the UDA staff.

Last season the Tigerettes made the state competition, and had a pair of members on the All-Ardmoreite cheer squad.

Orr is an Ardmore native and will be in her first year of coaching the Tigerettes this season.

The Tigerettes will be performing this season at Ardmore Tiger football games beginning with the home opener on Sept. 13 against the Durant Lions at Noble Stadium.

The Tigerettes will also be performing during the 2019-2020 basketball season at the Ardmore High School Gymnasium.
