Holly Cherie Bowser, of Lone Grove, passed away peacefully June 11, 2019, at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 8, 1952, in Baraboo, Wis.,, to Gordon Gasser and Nancy Iverson Gasser.
Holly had a huge heart and loved her family and friends. Thanksgiving time was always an important holiday because whether you were family, friend or some stranger she welcomed everyone for a warm meal. It was her gift to talk to anyone that most people noticed and admired about her.  
She worked at various jobs throughout her life, she worked for Gerber for a number of years processing baby products. After that she worked at the Lutheran Home taking care of the special needs people for two years then went on to work At Land’s End as a telephone operator and with her ability to talk to people she was able to help customers. She then retired to enjoy the things she loved to do.
She met and married Robert (Bob) Bowser in December 1993 in Baraboo, Wis. Holly is preceded in death by her mother Nancy Gasser and brother-in-law Thomas Kane. She is survived by her husband Robert Bowser of Lone Grove, son Shawn and his wife Victoria Mitchell Morgan of Camden, Ark., Matthew Bowser of Lone Grove, Cherie Banta Sturkie and her husband James Sturkie of Lexington, S.C., Gordy Banta and his wife Susan Behn Banta of Sauk City, Wis., Corinna Bowser Shade and her husband Eli Shade of Ardmore, Dawn Hilt of Baraboo, Tyler Bowser of California, Dion Bowser of Ardmore and Robert Bowser III also of Ardmore, her father Gordon Gasser of Apache Junction, Ariz., and sister Lisa Kane also of Apache Junction; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and many relatives, she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
