Memorial services for Lucille Keith are scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Brother Leroy Holman officiating. Interment will follow at McAlister Cemetery.
Lucille (Postoak) Keith was born March 11, 1931, to Bernice (Gillard) and Sam J. Postoak in Ardmore. She passed from this life on June 18, 2019, at the age of 88.
Lucille was a graduate of Plainview High School in the class of 1949. On April 5, 1952, she married Robert Keith in Ardmore. She later received a dental assistance degree from the Pease Air Force Base in New Hampshire. Lucille and Robert returned home to Ardmore (after serving 30 years in the United States Air Force) where they fulfilled their dream of living a quiet life on a few acres. They were members of the Maranatha Freewill Baptist Church. Lucille was a homemaker most of her life but enjoyed volunteering at various military events and voting booths. Her hobbies included bowling, cooking large dinners for the family, and sing-a-longs with her sisters.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Robert Carlton Keith, Sr. and parents Sam and Bernice Postoak; brothers Jack Postoak, John Postoak, Edmond Postoak, Walter Postoak, Marshall Keith Postoak and Calvin Postoak; and sisters Martha Watson, Teresa Postoak and Nora Birdshead,
She is survived by her daughters Carla Griffith and her husband Norman and Susan Keith; sons Robert C. Keith, Jr. and his wife Kim, John Alan Keith and his wife Thelma, and William Mark Keith; brother Wayne Postoak; sisters Etta Johnson and Barbara Jean Postoak; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
