Paul Howard Long, born Oct. 28, 1950, died June 17, 2019. He was 68 years-old. Paul attended Jefferson Elementary School and graduated from Ardmore High School class of 1968. He was an All-Boomer Conference Award winner as a football wide receiver. He served in the US Army as a combat medic and extant technician. He was Honorably discharged with an E-5 classification. He was a hero to his little brother, proud uncle, and step-dad to many. He drove a truck for Werner Enterprises, and retired as a driver coordinator for Rail Crew Express. He loved to catch catfish and grill.
Born to Sam Howard Long and Eva Pearl (Waddington) Long. Survivors include his wife Lucinda “Kitty” (McBlair) Long of the home, brother Dennis Long and his wife Lisa, niece Rebekka Cox, nephew Toby Long, and four great-nephews.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Merrick Drive Church of Christ 1951 Merrick Drive in Ardmore. Donations may be made in his name to the Southern Oklahoma Children’s Shelter.
