An individual struck two vehicles before crashing into a local building Saturday night.

During the investigation of the incident, police also discovered that one of the victims was allegedly concealing meth, said Ardmore Police Department Captain Keith Ingle.

Officers observed a black SUV that struck the front porch of a business in the 400 block of 12th Ave. NW while patrolling the area, Ingle said.

The driver, a 34-year-old Ardmore resident, is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol, Ingle said.

“He had already struck two vehicles before he ran into the building, that’s where officers made contact with him,” Ingle said.

Ingle said the man faces complaints of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage due to his failure to respond to the two prior accidents.

One of the vehicles the man is believed to have struck belonged to a 40-year-old Ardmore resident who allegedly had meth in her possession and attempted to conceal it before officers arrived on scene, Ingle said.

“They called the police and she tried to hide her drugs before police got there, but somebody saw her do it,” Ingle said.

Because of the amount of meth found and the way it was packaged, Ingle said police believe the woman had intentions of distributing drugs. The woman is also a three-time offender for possession of CDS.

Ingle said the woman was taken into custody for possession of CDS with intent to distribute.
