A collision resulting in serious injuries for one driver occurred on the Fourth of July afternoon near Ratliff City.
A 44-year-old male from Rio Grande City, Texas, was traveling southbound on Shamrock Road in a Tigercat mulcher (forestry equipment), according to a report from Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop F.
The individual allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into the path of a 40-year-old male from Fox who was traveling eastbound on Continental Road in a 2018 Chevrolet pickup, the report said.
The 44-year-old male was not injured, according to the report. However, the 40-year-old Fox resident was admitted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in serious condition with trunk internal and head injuries.
The roads were clear and both drivers appeared to be in normal condition during the time of the collision, the report said. However, the 40-year-old driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
