While most athletes were resting near the end of June, this wasn’t the case for the Wilson High School varsity cheerleaders.

The Lady Eagles squad made their way to Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee during the end of June to participate in the annual UCA Camp, where they managed to obtain several team and individual awards.

Wilson earned daily superior evaluations during the camp, as well as the nightly spirit stick award.

The Lady Eagles also earned second place overall in the game day competition, and managed to bring home the “Big Banana” award as well.

Alysha Barnes and Danielle Brooks along with Secret Wilkins all managed to obtain the Pin It Forward Leadership award, with Wilkins earning hers on the first night of camp.

However, Barnes managed to obtain an even higher honor at the camp, when she was named as the lone Wilson cheerleader to obtain All-American honors.
