A second pedestrian was struck alongside Interstate 35 in Love County Saturday morning.
A 60-year-old Allen, Texas, resident was walking on the shoulder of I-35 northbound near  Mile Marker four in Love County when he was struck by an unknown vehicle, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The vehicle left the scene and the individual was transported to Medical City in Denton, Texas for head, arm and trunk internal injuries, the report said. The individual was in stable condition.
The cause of the collision is under investigation and the OHP is currently searching for the driver of the vehicle. According to the report, the roadways were clear and it was dark at the time of the collision, around 1:31 a.m.
Not too far from where the Allen resident was struck, another pedestrian was killed by a driver June 23 on I-35 near Exit 1 and the Chickasaw Travel Stop.
The OHP’s Traffic Homocide Unit is still investigating the death of the 29-year-old man from Gainesville, Texas.
According to OHP Troop F communications officer Johnny Pierce, a 54-year-old pickup driver from Euless, Texas was apprehended for leaving the scene of a fatal collision in connection with the June 23 incident.
