An Ardmore police officer and a local resident suffered minor injuries after allegedly getting into an altercation Monday morning.
Ardmore Police Department Captain Keith Ingle said officers were dispatched to the 500 block of 4th Ave NW in reference to a disturbance around 8:30 a.m. A 36-year-old man was allegedly becoming agitated with individuals working on a power line nearby, Ingle said.
The responding officer and the suspect allegedly engaged in an altercation, resulting in both crashing into a neighboring residence’s window, Ingle said. Damages are estimated at $150.
Ingle said an ambulance was dispatched to the scene and the suspect was treated by a medic on site. The officer was transported to a hospital for minor cuts.
Officers also discovered that the suspect had a meth pipe in his possession, Ingle said.
The man faces complaints for assault and battery on a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction.
