Ardmore police responded to an incident Sunday morning that left one individual with a dog-bite wound and a potential vandalism complaint.
APD Captain Keith Ingle said officers arrived at the 700 block of Davis St. NW around 1:18 a.m. The victim advised that her ex had allegedly broken into her house and tried to steal her dog, he said.
“Somebody broke into the house to take the dog and when she got home she found her ex inside the house,” Ingle said.
The suspect allegedly fled from the residence and tried to get into a car, Ingle said. “And then the dog attacked the male and I guess that’s where he started bleeding.”
Police observed a large gash in the man’s arm, a broken windshield wiper, a damaged iPhone and a broken window on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Ingle said the estimated amount of damage is unknown.
However, the victim did wish to press charges for malicious injury to property, Ingle said. The incident will be further reviewed by the district attorney’s office.
