Renters in Ardmore will soon have more options available. Lance Windel, president of Oklahoma Property Managers, Inc. and CEO of Milestone Homes, LLC., said in addition to the recently completed Lakeshore Landing town home community, his crews are currently completing a new 86-unit apartment complex on Monroe Street NW called Shady Acres and six new townhouses in Shenandoah Ridge.
“It’s all going really well and we’ve actually started moving people in,” Windel said about Shady Acres. The new facility is going to be taking the place of Willowbrook apartments located down the street, and the tenants of the old apartments are all moving into the new ones. “So we went ahead and let some of the people whose units are ready start moving in at the southwest corner of the complex.”
The new apartments are part of a low-income housing project and Windel said they are beginning to fill up.
“We actually have a waiting list that we are developing now. If people are interested they should definitely go get on it,” Windel said. “Just because there is a waiting list doesn’t mean it’s full and not everyone on the waiting list is going to qualify. If anyone wants to be put on the list, go down to WIllowbrook and ask.”
In addition to Shady Acres, Windel is also working on six new townhouses in Shenandoah Ridge, located northwest of Walmart. He said these homes are going to be restricted to those age 55 and up.
“The addition has been there for a few years, and we’ve built about 29 townhouses already and we’ve got room to build a few more,” Windel said. “We’re building these six because the demand has been pretty solid.”
Windel said his new town home community, Lake Shore Landing, located near Hickory Ridge is now currently complete.
“We got delayed getting the office and the safe room done, be we finally got all that finished up, and we’re leasing that up quickly right now.” Windel said.
He said while he has other new projects going on all across the state, these are currently his only ones going up in  Ardmore. He plans to focus on their completion before beginning any other new projects in the area.
