The daughter of Gerald Anderson Hendrick and Delora Alice (Bradley) Hendrick, Sondra was born on Jan. 11, 1944, in Boise, Idaho, and passed away on Aug. 6, 2019, at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Sondra married her high school sweetheart, Leo Glenn Alley, Jr., on Sept. 14, 1963, in Stroud, Okla. They have three beautiful children, Glenn, Robyn, and Kelly, whom she was very proud of and would go to great lengths to support them anytime she could.
An Ardmore resident since 1975, moving here from Moore. Sondra grew up in Stroud and graduated from Stroud High School. She then attended a business school in Oklahoma City. After moving to Ardmore, Sondra was employed with Ardmore City Schools where she served as the attendance clerk until she was promoted to take care of her grand-babies. Later in life she worked for Hobbs Eye Care. Sondra was a member and deacon of Northwest Baptist Church for over 40 years.
Sondra was known by many other names, “Mom,” “Sue,” “Brown eyed girl,” “Konka,” “SonSon,” “Ms. Alley” and “Sonnie.” However, her favorite by far was given to her in August 1995, and she became known to us all as “Gran” or “Granmom.” Gran spent the last 24 years of her life traveling with Grandad to Texas, Tennessee, and Arkansas to be at dance recitals, spelling bees, baseball games, football games, academic competitions, graduations, birthday parties, wedding and baby showers, and births.
Sondra lived a conservative life when it came to her earthly possessions, but lived abundantly in the ways she loved her family and friends, living this out most beautifully by pointing us to the one true love, Jesus.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Delora Hendrick, father and mother-in-law, Leo and Wilda Alley, brother-in-laws, Bill Hodges and Steve Collier, sister-in-laws, Betty Reed, Norma Seitsinger, and Leona Alley, grandparents, John and May Bradley and Clarence and Scena Hendrick, great-grandson, Nixon Judah Arrott, and beloved nieces and nephews.

She also leaves behind many grandchildren, Riley Arrott and husband, Cal, Paige Tucker and Beau Lasater, Dawson Alley, Brandon Alley, Steven Onstott, Mara Onstott, and Nica Thomas and husband, Brandon.
