TURNER — Last season the Turner Lady Falcons experienced something they haven’t had to deal with in a very long time, an early playoff exit in the district tournament.

This season however, the Lady Falcons will be looking to make it back to the regional tournament as they return multiple players for the upcoming season.

Turner finished the year with a 10-15 record, which was down from their 2017 season record of  24-10, when they last made the state tournament in Class B, before falling in the semifinals.

Turner will have three seniors on this years team in Hillary Hill, Calli Hawkins and Ondrea Reynolds, along with junior Beth Hall and three sophomore players.

Turner will open the season on Aug. 13 at home against the Thackerville Lady Wildcats, before heading to the Calera Tournament on Aug. 15-17.

Turner will then play against Velma-Alma at home on Aug. 19 before playing in the Marietta Festival on Aug. 23, before hosting Calera on Aug. 26.

Turner’s other high school tournament action will come in September when the Lady Falcons take part in the Wright City Tournament on Sept. 19-21.
