Ardmore and Lone Grove met up in the opening round of the tournament which was held at Firelake Casino in Shawnee.

Lady Horns pitcher Emmy Guthrie turned out to be quite the dealer as she tossed a four inning no-hitter with one walk and 10 strikeouts as Lone Grove moved to 3-0 with a 10-0 victory in four innings over the Lady Tigers. 

Ardmore fell to 0-3 on the season with the loss.

Guthrie helped her own cause in the bottom of the first inning as she put Lone Grove on the board with an RBI single to center field which scored Chole Pender.

A sacrifice RBI bunt by Lexi Meadows put LG up 2-0 in the second, before Malea McMurtrey also laid down a sacrifice bunt for an RBI to make it 3-0.

Lone Grove poured it on in the third with seven runs when a throwing error allowed three runs to score to make it 6-0.

Meadows then collected an RBI single, before Logan Ketchum sent an RBI double to center to make it 8-0.

McMurtrey and Chole Pender then finished the game off as each brought home a run for the Lady Horns.

Savannah Marris took the loss on the mound, allowing seven earned on 11 hits with two walks in three innings pitched. 

Ardmore took on Tuttle in its second game of the tournament Thursday, and was defeated 12-4.

Tuttle scored three runs in the first and second innings, before Ardmore came back with four runs in the top of the third to make it 6-4. 

But, Tuttle scored one run in the third followed by five in the fourth to seal the victory.

Makila Case had two RBI's in the game with Kalie Douglas finishing with one RBI. 

Kenya Palmer took the loss on the mound, allowing seven earned runs on eight hits with four walks.

Lone Grove’s day unfortunately didn’t end on a high note, as the Lady Horns were handed their first defeat of the season in a narrow game against Perry.

LG got off to a dream start in the top of the first inning with three runs, as Chole Yeatts got an RBI single before Chole Pender stole home to make it 2-0.

Paige Anderson then slapped an RBI triple to center field to make it 3-0.

Perry got on the board with a two-run home run in the bottom half of the first to make it 3-2.

Logan Ketchum got an RBI groundout in the top of the second to make it 4-2.

Perry though would get one run back in the second to keep it close at 4-3.

Anderson struck again in the third when her hard ground ball resulted in an error, allowing a run to score to make it 5-3.

But, Perry would have the last word in the bottom of the fourth with three runs to steal the victory.

Logan Ketchum took the loss on the mound for Lone Grove, throwing 3 2/3 innings of work. She allowed six earned runs on eight hits with one walk and two strikeouts in the game against Perry at Shawnee.
