PAULS VALLEY — After enduring a pair of close losses Friday against Byng and Purcell, the Davis Lady Wolves were hoping to end the Murray County Bash on a high note Saturday against Norman High.

Unfortunately, the Lady Wolves offense couldn’t get much going after the first inning, as Davis fell to its third straight defeat with a 5-1 loss to the Lady Tigers at Wacker Park in Pauls Valley.

Norman High got on the board in the top of the first with a two-RBI double to right field, before Davis got one back thanks to an RBI from Alexis Barnes which scored Daisy Lampkin.

After a scoreless second inning, Norman got a big insurance boost off a three run home run to right field to make it 5-1.

Despite getting runners on base the rest of the way, the Lady Wolves never could push across anymore offense, as the loss dropped them to 6-4 overall on the season.

Kobee Jones took the loss on the mound, throwing five innings. She allowed five hits with three walks and two strikeouts.

Davis will be back in action Monday with a district game against Little Axe before hosting Community Christian on Tuesday.
