MADILL — With one week to go before the Lake Country Conference meet, the Madill and Lone Grove boys cross country runners decided to give themselves a warmup on Saturday.

MADILL — With one week to go before the Lake Country Conference meet, the Madill and Lone Grove boys cross country runners decided to give themselves a warmup on Saturday.

Runners from both schools participated in the annual Wildcat Run, which was held at the Madill City Lake.

Madill’s boys won the overall team title with 38 points, barely ahead of Oklahoma Christian with 40 points. 

Miguel Duran was the top finisher for the Wildcats in second place with a time of 18:29.39, with teammate Diego Ibarra in fourth (18:51.05), and Anthony Sanchez in fifth (18:54.59). 

Brodie Tull and Chris Bennett finished 14th and 15th overall with times of 19:58.29 and 20:10.86 respectively.

Other finishers for the Wildcats included Gael Salinas (20:19.51), Sergio Hernandez (20:22.61), Brandon Serrano (20:42.78), Luis Hernandez (21:01.16), Angel Granados (21:23.24), Julio Gallo (21:38.06), Juan Hernandez (21:39.78), Edgar Perfecto (22:52.02), Greg Hernandez (23:01.98), Sahith Gondi (25:42.03), Kaleb Swinney (25:48.56), Rodrigo Villegas (26:14.03), Guillermo Saldivar (27:54.80), Ulisses Camacho (29:25.22), Juan Calixto (30:37.60), and Saulo Castro (30:41.81).

Karson Clemens was the top finisher for Lone Grove with a time of 21:41.34, with Kort McCurtain clocking in at 22:55.02, and Tyler Eaves at 23:02.53.
