Malcolm Armstrong of Ardmore was born to James and Cassie (Strailey) Armstrong on Nov. 24, 1924, in Milo, and passed from this life on Sept. 15, 2019, in Ardmore, at the age of 94 years.

Malcolm grew up and attended school in Ardmore and its surrounding area. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII, receiving the purple heart. 

On Oct. 1, 1948, Malcolm married Marjorie Parker in Ardmore. In 1950, they made their home in Pauls Valley. Malcolm worked for Southwestern Bell for 39 years. Malcolm was a member of Mary Niblack Baptist Church in Ardmore and Trinity Baptist Church in Pauls Valley. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and traveling. 

 Mr. Armstrong is survived by: wife, Marjorie of the home; son, Lindell Armstrong of Wynnewood; daughter, Lorrie Cooper and husband, Ken of St. Maries, Idaho; and three grandchildren, LeeAnn Armstrong, James Armstrong and Hunter Armstrong.

Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by: parents, James and Cassie Armstrong; son, Jimmy Armstrong; three brothers, Leonard Armstrong, Walter Armstrong and Freeman Armstrong; two sisters, Myrtle LaCrone and Aimie Acres.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019, at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
