Ardmore police reportedly responded to multiple calls concerning an intoxicated person Monday evening, resulting in child neglect charges being filed against a woman.
Ardmore Police Department Capt. Keith Ingle said officers made contact with two individuals in the 1000 block of W. Broadway in reference to the calls; later arresting 27-year-old Katrina Eddy of Lone Grove and 41-year-old Charles Bean of Ardmore on different complaints.
Around nine grams of meth were found in Bean’s possession and both appeared to be intoxicated, Ingle said.
“She was under the influence and he was under the influence of whatever drugs they were on,” Ingle said. “She had taken too much of her prescription medication, Oxycodone, by accident. She was probably using the same meth he was, more than likely because they had nine grams of it.”
Officers later located the vehicle Bean and Eddy had arrived in and found it running with a 3-year-old child inside, Ingle said.
Eddy was taken into custody and is facing felony charges for child neglect, according to Carter County court documents filed Sept. 17. Bean was apprehended for the district charge of possession of CDS (meth).
