With nothing but pride left to play for the rest of the season, the Plainview Lady Indians took aim at history on Thursday.

Plainview traveled to Tishomingo, hoping to be the first team this season to defeat THS.

Unfortunately, Tishomingo managed to pull an escape act again, rallying from 2-1 down to win 4-2 at the Tishomingo Softball Field, moving them to 28-0, while Plainview fell to 7-14 overall.

Tishomingo took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, before Plainview jumped into the lead in the top of the third with two runs.

Taryn Martin smashed a two-run home run to left field which brought home Brinkley Campbell in the process.

Plainview’s lead though was short-lived as Tishomingo scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth and never looked back as THS remained undefeated on the season.

Riley Grant took the loss on the mound for Plainview, throwing six innings. She allowed four earned runs on eight hits with three walks and 10 strikeouts.
