Funeral services for Zachary Dean Harris will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at the First Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Leroy Holman and Rev. Clint Harrison.
 Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the assistance of Andrew Rhines, Keller Claxton, Jacob Knight, Brady Roberts, Billy Lloyd, Pedro Molina and Coach Randy Growall serving as pallbearers. Honorary bearers include Bernie Kite, Troy Kite, Coach Jerry Naylor and Maddie Harris.
Zachary Dean Harris was born Nov. 7, 1998, at Little Rock, Ark. He was raised and spent most of his life in Ardmore. A graduate of Plainview High School, where he was the trainer for the track team. A Junior at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, he was studying occupational safety. Zac’s college friends affectionately referred to him as “Paw Paw,” even though he was only 20, he had an old soul.
In 2019, Zac had an internship at Noble Research Institute; he had worked at Agri Products, was a member of the Blue River Car Club and was the operator of Harris Small Engine Repair.
Zac passed away Sept. 23, 2019, from injuries sustained in an auto accident, at the age of 20 years, 10 months and 16 days.
Survivors who will forever cherish precious memories include, his mother, Stephanie Atkinson and her husband, Jeff; his father, Edward Harris and his wife, Jennifer; his sisters, Madison and Katelyn; grandmother, Barbara Ellis, grandmother, Sharon Harris, grandfather, Mike Harris and wife, Cheryl, and step-father, Daryl Sakioka and wife, Shannon. His grandfather, Gerald Ellis and an uncle, Ray Coffey, preceded him in death.
A time of visitation and support for friends and family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at
