Before going to enjoy the Homecoming festivities, the Plainview cross country teams decided to put in a little work on Thursday at Eldon Lyon Park in Bethany.

Before going to enjoy the Homecoming festivities, the Plainview cross country teams decided to put in a little work on Thursday at Eldon Lyon Park in Bethany.

The Lady Indians varsity and junior varsity teams managed to race past the competition as each team won its respective division, while the Indians claimed third overall as a team at the Bethany Broncho cross country meet. 

Scarlett Williams won the individual title for Plainview’s girls with a time of 12:47, with teammates Jacey Keith and Madie Turner in third and fourth respectively with times of 13:20 and 13:25. 

Katie Wiggs finished sixth overall with a time of 13:37, with Alli McAdams in seventh at 13:50. 

Haydn Hobbs also finished in the top-10 as she placed ninth clocking in at 14:14. 

Olivia Heller was the last Lady Indians runner to cross the finish line as she placed 12th overall with a time of 14:48. 

In the junior varsity race, Emily Butler won with a time of 15:02, with Rose Recio, Savannah Sauer, and Marla Williams in places third through fifth with times of 16:36, 16:50, and 17:28 respectively. 

Hanna Wlodarczyk claimed ninth overall for Plainview with a time of 18:42. 

In the varsity boys race, Josh Hottell was the top finisher for the Indians in fourth place with a time of 18:17, followed by Ethan Lollman in eighth at 18:44. 

Trevor Honeycutt finished 10th overall at 18:56, with Carson Orr in 15th, clocking in at 19:27.

JT Allen finished with a time of 21:17, with Jon Harris at 21:42 for the Indians.
