All good things come to those who wait.
For the Fox Foxes, their wait for a first win of the season finally came to an end Friday night.
Fox used a 14-point third quarter to take down Grandfield 44-32 on the road, giving them their first win overall of the season and first win in district play.
Fox scored first in the second quarter when Hawk Anderson ran 25-yards for the touchdown, before a two-point conversion made it 8-0.
Grandfield would then tie the game up, leaving it all square at 8-8 going into the break.
In the third quarter, Jacob Dart put Fox back in the lead with a rushing touchdown, before the two-point conversion made it 16-8.
Brandon Miller then got a 60-yard rushing touchdown which made it 22-8 at the end of the third quarter.
Grandfield got back in the game in the fourth quarter with a passing touchdown to make it 22-16, before getting it to 24-22.
Fox would hold its nerve though down the stretch and win the game with more offense.
The Foxes are on the road again Friday night taking on Temple.
