Throughout the years, the Oklahoma School for the Deaf has accumulated its fair share of hardware when it came to athletics.

Throughout the years, the Oklahoma School for the Deaf has accumulated its fair share of hardware when it came to athletics. 

This past weekend the OSD volleyball team added another achievement to the trophy case.

The Lady Indians traveled to Wisconsin for the Great Plains Schools for the Deaf volleyball tournament, and managed to go undefeated both days to win the championship. 

On Friday, OSD defeated Kansas by scores of 25-13 and 25-18, before taking down Missouri 25-12, 25-10.

OSD finished off pool play with a 25-22, 15-25, 15-8 victory over Wisconsin.

Bracket play began on Saturday, with OSD being paired with Iowa in the opening round, a game the Lady Indians won in two sets 25-8, 25-8.

A rematch with Kansas took place in the semifinals, but it was OSD coming out on top again by scores of 25-21, 25-13.

In the championship game, the Lady Indians took down New Mexico by scores of 25-19, 25-16. 

Emily Ravello, Shellie Junger, and April Pennel were all named to the All-Tournament Team for OSD Volleyball.
