While it might be crazy to think, basketball season is just around the corner.   For the Ardmore Lady Tigers, it means the start of what will hopefully be a return trip to the state tournament.   Last year the Lady Tigers made history by earning a No. 1 ranking, as well as a return to the state tournament, finishing with an overall record of 23-4 after opening the season with 16 straight victories.   The 2019-2020 Schedule for Ardmore will begin with a scrimmage on Thursday against Plainview, before the scrimmage schedule will resume on Nov.9 at Moore, followed by a pair of home scrimmages on Nov. 12 and Nov. 14 against Dickson and Byng.   Ardmore will officially open the regular season on Dec. 3 at home against Duncan, before heading on the road for the Carl Albert Festival in Midwest City two days later.   Dec. 10 and Dec. 13 will have road games against Durant and McAlester, before the Lady Tigers return home on Dec. 20 for a game against Putnam Heights Academy.   There is one notable change in the schedule for the Lady Tigers around the latter part of December, as the annual Holiday Festival tournament will not be played this season in Ardmore.   Instead, the Lady Tigers will travel to Waco,Texas on Dec. 26-28 for the MT Rice Holiday Basketball Tournament at Waco Midway High School.   Ardmore will welcome in the new year on Jan. 7 at home against Durant, before Ardmore goes on the road Jan. 9-11 for the East Central Oklahoma Classic at Ada.   A home game on Jan. 18 against Christian Heritage will be sandwiched in-between the Shawnee Invitational Tournament on Jan. 23-25, before the Lady Tigers will return home on Jan. 28 for another game against Putnam Heights Academy, before hosting Lawton MacArthur three days later.   Two road games against Duncan and Lawton MacArthur along with a home game against McAlester will close out the month of February before the regional tournament begins.
