One of the toughest and most successful softball conferences in Oklahoma this season was the Lake Country Conference.   Recently, the All-Conference awards list was announced for the 2019-2020 season, with several area teams being represented.   Lone Grove’s Emmy Guthrie was named as the Pitcher of the Year, with teammate Chloe Pender receiving the Offensive Player of the Year award.   Co-Defensive Players of the Year were Chloe Yeatts from Lone Grove and Sulphur’s own Abby Beck.   Dickson’s freshman standout Emily Nogueira was named as a Co-Newcomer of the Year.   Sulphur was also represented by All-Conference selections Macenzie Ruth and Makella Mobly, while Noa Dodson and Malea McMurtrey were also listed for Lone Grove.   Plainview also landed a pair of All-Conference selections in Taryn Martin and Lexi Hackney, while Dickson added two more players to the awards list in Makenna Day and Lacie Winchester.   Madill was represented by McKenzie Reed and Ximena Gomez, while Marietta was represented on the team by Haven Matthews and Kaylie Douglass.   Lone Grove won the LCC Tournament championship this season, defeating Kingston in the finals during the tournament at Sulphur.
